Why I Love Watching My Kids Play Sports
Watching your kids play sports is one of the most rewarding experiences a parent can have. Whether they’re playing baseball, basketball, or any other sport, watching them strive and grow as an athlete is an incredible thing. For me personally, watching my children compete in their respective sports has been especially meaningful since it provides countless opportunities for me to bond with them and help them become the best version of themselves.
The Joy of Seeing Them Improve
Watching my children improve over time has been one of my favorite parts about supporting their sports journey. From perfecting their shooting form to working on their ball handling skills, it’s been so rewarding to see them progress from when they first started playing to where they are now. It’s also been incredibly gratifying for me as a parent because I know that all the hard work and dedication they’ve put into their craft is paying off.
Making Memories Together
I also love getting the opportunity to travel with my kids to tournaments and games! These outings are great bonding opportunities for us. We get to share special moments together that we wouldn’t be able to experience if it weren't for sports. From pre-game rituals like eating lunch at our favorite restaurant before every game day to sharing stories during car rides back home after winning tournaments, these memories will stay with us forever.
A Sense of Accomplishment
Finally, whenever my kids achieve something on the court or field, I feel a huge sense of accomplishment too! Seeing them persevere and accomplish goals that they set out for themselves is absolutely inspiring and makes me proud every single time. After all, there’s no better feeling than celebrating a huge win alongside your child!
Watching your kids play sports can be an amazing experience that brings joy and fulfillment into your life as a parent. You get to watch them develop skills over time while making memories together during trips and excursions. Plus, you get to share in their successes when they reach their goals! Who knows—you may just end up loving it more than you expected!
