Water Tower Kickstart - Boot Rock Boys
The summer sun is shining, and the good times are rollin' into town! Mark your calendars because the FREE Spring & Summer Concert Series explodes onto the scene this June 13th with the one and only Boot Rock Boys!
Dust off your dancin' boots and head on down to the Downtown Water Tower Parking Lot. Spread out your blanket, grab a lawn chair, and get ready for a night of toe-tappin' tunes under the Texas sky.
Need some grub to fuel your two-steppin'? No problem, partner! Texas Taco Kitchen and P&B Ice Cream Shop will be there dishin' up delicious eats and frosty treats to keep your energy high. While the kiddos get their faces painted with artistic flair, take a stroll through the vibrant downtown area and explore the local shops and businesses. Feeling a little heated up after all that groovin'? The Wetzel Park splash pad will be open until 8 pm, offering the perfect way to cool down.
Just a friendly reminder: The Water Tower Parking Lot will be closed for event parking, but don't fret! There's plenty of street parking available downtown.
So, wrangle up your family and friends, and get ready for a rootin' tootin' good time! This FREE community event is the perfect way to kick off your summer and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Sand and Sugar cooking decorating class
It's summer, and that means it's beach time!
Let's bring the beach to Leander, Tx with this fun beach-themed Sugar Cookie Decorating Class!
Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Crystal's Cookies is here to help! In this 2 -hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided at class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).
This month features a day at the beach – just in time for summer vacation! Enjoy seashells, swimsuits, and beach waves!
You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! More details on refunds, things to bring, credits, and FAQs are below - looking forward to having you with us.
About this Class
This class is for the beginner cookie or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, find yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We will be doing a fun “Sand and Sugar” theme set that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!
We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing is required. Just decorate!
This class is on June 15, 2024 and goes from 10:30am – 12:30pm sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 14 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!
This class is good for ages 12 and up, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class Playlist so you can teach them yourself!
